San Francisco is one of America's most well known cities located in North California. It is America's 17th most populous city. When people come to USA, it is one of the cities they like to visit. This city is full of history and amazing things to see which will make your vacation memorable and amazing.
So here are the top places you can visit in San Francisco:
1. Golden Gate Bridge
When people think of San Francisco, the first thing that comes in mind is the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. It has been portrayed a lot of times in pop culture and especially the world famous game Gta San Andreas. I got to know about this bridge the first time when I played this game.
Golden Gate Bridge is the most photographed and visited place of San Francisco. This bridge was opened in May 28th, 1937 and in past it was the longest suspension bridge in the world. There are a lot of points near the bridge where you can take pictures and just relax and enjoy the beauty of this bridge. The bridge is almost 2 miles long and 750 feet high. It is a magnificent structure made by humanity.
The Golden Gate Bridge connects San Francisco to Marin Headlands. There is also a pedestrian walkway along the bridge, so you can have a walk or cycle and enjoy the beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean.
2. Alcatraz Island
Alcatraz Island is America's one of the most infamous prisons and is a historical place. After closing in 1963 after almost 30 years of operation, it is now a popular tourist attraction in San Francisco. Some of America's most well known criminals used to live here. There are guides available and audio recordings which will help you understand the history of this island and about the prisoners who used to live here.
3. Golden Gate Park
Golden Gate Park is spread to over more than 1000 acres and you can see a lot of beautiful gardens and amazing museums here. It is pretty huge so it can take you days to full explore the beauty of it. Still this is a place that you must visit if you are coming to San Francisco.
Here you will find more than 5,000 different kinds of flowers, trees, lakes and much more. There is just a lot to see here. You can take a walk, jog, have picnic or just relax and enjoy the beauty.
There is also a Japanese Tea Garden here. The park itself is free of charge but for other tourist attractions here there are fees. It depends on where you want to go.
You can also rent a bike or segway if you feel too tired to walk.

San Francisco's Chinatown is the largest Chinatown outside of Asia and is the home to many temples, theaters, shops, restaurants, bars, etc. that are of Chinese culture. You will find a lot of exotic and strange goods here you probably have never seen before. You can also buy Chinese dresses, Fortune Cookies, Mooncake and many things that are of Chinese culture. There are a lot of places to visit here and have amazing meals and drinks. Chinese New Year is also celebrated here.
